Come along  and find out our latest developments in registration and fitness to practise.

SSSC acronym logo - colourTake this opportunity to meet us and get your questions answered.

Each event will have two workshops.

Workshop 1: Registration will look at:

  • how to manage your registration using MySSSC
  • meeting the requirements of your registration, for example post registration training and learning and meeting a qualification condition
  • how you can promote registration and the Codes of Practice with people who use services and their carers and families.

Workshop 2: Fitness to Practise will look at:

  • professional standards and conduct
  • how the SSSC Codes of Practice relate to fitness to practise
  • take part in the fitness to practise decision making process using real life case studies
  • hear about changes to the way we regulate.

Just wondered if an event planned for Inverness?

Why not try and run one of these sessions in Inverness as well? For many Highland workers Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh are at least 3 hours travel away and we will not spend 6 hours to attend an event for 2 hours unless there is a powerful incentive to spend that time and the money to get there and back. Our employers are unlikely to release us for a day if you could run it in our area for half a day.

Thanks for your comments. We do try to hold our events all over Scotland where possible and hope to hold more registered worker events next year in different locations.

If you have any questions about registration, fitness to practise or the SSSS please let me know and I can do my best to answer these or can ask appropriate members of staff.
