SSSC to visit Stornoway

We are holding a pop-up event at Bayhead Bridge Centre, Stornaway on Thursday 17 September from 10.00am to 3.00pm to give social service employers and workers, people who use social services and their carers the chance to find out about the organisation.

Anna Fowlie, SSSC Chief Executive said:

‘As the regulator for social service workers in Scotland, it’s important employers, workers, registered workers, people who use services, carers and those with an interest in social services  know about the SSSC and the work we do.

‘As well as finding about our role in registering people who work in social services and the action we can take when workers fall below the standards of practice and conduct expected of them, you can find out about our role in developing skills and learning in the social service workforce.’

People dropping into the event will get the chance to pick up information leaflets, see the range of online material available and meet with Anna Fowlie, Chief Executive of the SSSC and staff from the registration, fitness to practise and workforce development and planning teams.
