Join our approval panel and help make sure the education and training of social service workers are fit for the future

One of the SSSC’s responsibilities is to develop and maintain the education and training of social service workers. One of the ways we do this is to approve particular qualifications such as the degree in social work and the BA in Childhood Practice. A new qualification (SCQF level 9) is currently being developed for residential child care workers.

SSSC acronym logo - colourUniversites, colleges and training providers come to the SSSC to have their courses approved. We examine all course applications to make sure they meet the necessary rules and standards. To do this we need help from employers, people who use services and carers and we are looking for new members to join our approvals panel. In particular we would like to hear from people who use have had experience of using residential child care services, employers, people who use services or are carers.
