Balnacraig fun and festivities

Christmas at Balnacraig starts in October with the active Pupil Voice Forum planning events.

Christmas is a difficult time for young people in care away from home and staff at Balnacraig focus on making sure all events are what the young people want and will create lasting memories.

This year the young people have been busy making Christmas gifts, food and crafts which will be on sale at their ‘Pop-Up Shop’.

Families, professional partners and neighbours are invited to join in the Christmas entertainment, music and food, hoping that they will also buy the goods on offer.

As a special treat they have tickets for various Christmas shows and just before the school breaks up the young people enjoy a whole school traditional Christmas lunch with a visit from Santa!
