Can you help evaluate mobile technology for remote assessment?

We are looking for two organisations who have Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) candidates to help us evaluate mobile technology designed for remote assessments of SVQs.

ipadSVQs rely on assessment of practice in the workplace by qualified assessors.  The assessors must be available to assess candidates through discussion and/or questioning to verify their understanding of key practice concepts.

Many workplaces do not have on-site assessors and in these cases assessors cover a number of workplaces.

We are developing secure mobile technology to resolve the logistical challenges in scheduling assessments.   This technology can potentially reduce costs and maximise the use of the assessors’ skills.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting project this spring, please email keith.quinn@sssc.uk.com for more information.
