The SSSC has published our 2017 equality reports today (28 April 2017). These describe the progress we’ve made over the past two years to put equality at the heart of our work.
The Equality Mainstreaming Report details what we’ve been doing to ‘mainstream’ the equality duty into everything we do. This means eliminating discrimination, advancing equality of opportunity and fostering good relations.
Our Outcomes Report describes the progress we’ve made on our 2013-17 Equality Outcomes, published in April 2013, and sets out our 2017-2021 Equality Outcomes.
The reports describe the progress we’ve made, for example:
- in helping our staff, sub-committee and Council Members refresh their knowledge of equality issues
- using equality impact assessments to examine how our work can achieve more equal outcomes
- moving towards a social service workforce representative of the diversity of Scotland.
