The SSSC digital learning resource Making better decisions was a finalist at the 2017 Herald Digital Awards in Glasgow on 19 October 2017.
There were a record number of entries to this year’s awards so being a finalist in the Education and Training category, supported by SQA, is a significant achievement.
The SSSC Chief Executive, Anna Fowlie said:
‘I’m thrilled that our digital learning work has been recognised at these awards against tough competition from across Scotland. We develop our digital learning resources to support the social service workforce improve practice and their learning. They also enable people to learn at a time and place that suits them.
‘The Making better decisions resource was a developed collaboratively by different teams in the SSSC and I’m proud of the work colleagues did to achieve this accolade.’
The Making better decisions learning resource simulates the sometimes difficult real life scenarios people working in social services can face in their work and allows them to decide what to do in a safe environment. It links to the SSSC Codes of Practice which set out the behaviours and values expected of workers.
