Linda Lennie was appointed as a Council Member of the SSSC this week.
Welcoming the announcement Professor James McGoldrick, Convener of the SSSC said:
‘I’m delighted to welcome our newest Council Member, Linda Lennie to the SSSC. Linda’s experience of social services, both in her professional and personal life, will bring another perspective to the Council and enhance the breadth of expertise that my colleagues bring. Along with my fellow Council Members, I am looking forward to working with Linda over the next few years.’
Miss Lennie has experience of social care in both her professional and personal life. She was a foster carer for five years before looking after her mother due to her developing Alzheimer’s. She has cared for her mother for the past eight years. She has experience working for the third sector and has recently taken up a voluntary role as a service user representative for Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Integration. Miss Lennie is also in the final year of her social work honours degree at Robert Gordon University.
