Right values, right people – a toolkit to help you recruit people with the right values
Lots of employers ask us how they can use values-based approaches to recruitment and retention of workers so we created a toolkit of resources to help them.
The new toolkit, Right values, right people, has videos that explain how to adopt values-based approaches and activities to help you explore your organisation’s values, and how to incorporate these into your recruitment processes. There is also a short video case study that shows how an employer has reviewed its recruitment and adopted a values-based approach, leading to better retention of workers and improved outcomes for the people they support.
We know it’s important for people thinking about careers in social services to understand the expectations of employers regarding values, so we have included resources to help with this. There are also videos from people already working in different social service settings, who explain why values are important and how they embed these in their practice to promote better outcomes for people using services.
