We’ve published a new booklet that highlights the role Dementia Ambassadors play in supporting Promoting Excellence in social services.
The impact of Promoting Excellence in social service settings: the positive role of Dementia Ambassadors booklet is the third in a series of publications about the difference the Promoting Excellence framework has made in social service settings.
Since 2016 we have reviewed the spread and significant influence of Dementia Ambassadors and we are pleased to be able to share our findings in the booklet. It reflects the diverse and positive work of Dementia Ambassadors throughout Scotland.
The booklet includes case studies from organisations sharing how they are using the Promoting Excellence framework and resources, as well as how they support the development of Dementia Ambassadors.
Heather Edwards from the Care Inspectorate highlights the findings from the report My life, my care home (The Experiences of People Living with Dementia in Care Homes in Scotland).
The booklet also sets out future plans to support ongoing learning and development for Dementia Ambassadors based on the findings of the review.
