Senior leaders in social services are invited to apply for the 2019-20 Leading for the Future programme.
The deadline for applications is 30 May 2019 at 12.00 noon.
Leading for the Future is a package of leadership and management development for those in senior leadership roles across health, social care and partner organisations. It’s run in partnership with health boards, local authorities and other public service organisations.
We have been working with NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and other health colleagues in their review of the programme and have committed to develop its content to make it more relevant to leaders from across a range of public services including social services.
The programme aims to help build leadership capacity and develop leaders’ capabilities across the system to achieve both the Scottish Government’s 2020 Vision for health and social care as well as wider public service reform.
The increasing complexity in the health and social care system impacts on the kinds of challenges facing leaders as well as on how they need to fulfil their roles.
Applications are open for the next cohort which starts in September 2019 with 108 places available in six geographical locations.
There are full details of the programme and how to apply in the information and application documents.
