Launching our SSSC Involving People Plan 2019/20 and ‘Developing SSSC Involving People Charter’ Summer Coffee and Conversation sessions
We are delighted to launch our Involving People Plan 2019/20 ‘Learning from Lived Experience, People, Partnerships and Planning for Involvement over the summer months. The plan is in recognition of the important contribution that people with lived experience of social services and caring make to our work. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the development of the plan. We connected with individuals, organisations, advocacy groups, community partnerships and our staff in developing the plan. As well as meetings with individuals, over 40 people contributed to the plan through the ‘Developing our Involving People Plan’ sessions and connection with existing planned community engagement forum.
The plan reflects the strong message from feedback of the importance of planning for involvement that makes a difference to our work and for everyone involved through partnerships, connections, conversations and relationships and recognises the important role that we all have in involving people.
How to get involved
Launching the plan and ‘Developing the SSSC Involving People Charter’ coffee and conversation sessions
We are connecting with people and networks in planning a series of small events over the summer months to launch the plan and to help reach and involve people in co-design of our Involving People Charter. This will include regional/local events, also linking in with existing planned organisational and community events. Look out for posts on social media and here on SSSC News.
The actions identified in the plan are designed to help us reach and involve people. We welcome your ideas on how best to share the plan. This is a live plan and we are keen to keep the involvement conversation going, to share ideas, learning and approaches to involving people and getting involved. We would really like to hear from you and would also welcome more opportunities to connect, share and support connections to involving people forums and networks so please do get in touch.
