About the event

Pushing the boundaries: challenging convention, custom and culture in residential child care

The theme for this year’s conference is Pushing the boundaries: challenging convention, custom and culture in residential child care and SIRCC want you to share key areas of practice, demonstrate new and innovative ways of working and illustrate key initiatives in your areas of expertise. Joint presentations are also encouraged.

Applications from residential child care practitioners at all levels, young people and adults with care experience, academics and researchers, and multi-agency partners working alongside the residential community are all welcome.

Celebrate your successes, share your challenges and innovations across your working practice or tell the story of your journey through care.

You can apply to present by completing and submitting the Workshop Application Form or by sharing a short video (no longer than five minutes) summarising your presentation idea.

If you have an idea but are unsure about how to submit, please contact Michelle McCue or Gordon Main for support and guidance.

Send your submission to celcis.learning@strath.ac.uk by Wednesday 11 January.

For more information and the application form visit the CELCIS website.
